Building the Brick Walkway Beneath the Cabin
Wayne Lammers began furnishing bricks to Papi for the purpose of making a walkway under the cabin near the staircase and the shower. Wayne and Papi loaded and lifted over two hundred bricks in preparation for beginning this project.
Wayne furnished the following oral history of the bricks on April 28,2019:

The majority of the bricks were made at the Moberly (MO) Brick and Tile Company in the 1880s and were transported to Boonville, MO, on the Katy Railroad. These bricks were recovered from the Boonville streets near the old calaboose on 6th and Chestnut St.--which was diagonally across from the Lammers' Elevator Company.
The other smaller bricks were made in Coffeeville, KS, around 1911 and also transported to Boonville by the Katy Railroad. These bricks were recovered from the streets surrounding the Katy Railroad Depot.
