Finally it has really begun. Footings dug and poured, and conduit run for electricity and water.
The next three photos courtesy of Deryl Osborn, builder.
This is the artist's rendering of the house plans we purchased from Lifestyles Unlimited.com. Our version is reversed left to right and raised 8 feet off the ground. We also extended the porch around the side to the back.

Trusses being delivered after a day delay because of a mishap yesterday when some got broken. But wait! There is more to the story!!!!!
So, the load will not fit between the trees. Driver must back up the hill he just maneuvered down, turn the truck around and back down the hill. Does that take skill and patience or what???
Quite the feat! Trusses delivered to the building site with no mishaps.
Now to off load the trusses...
Papi's brother, Wayne, visited from October 1st to the 5th and provided Papi moral support and companionship. Wayne's wife, Sharon, made a visit to the site on Monday the 5th.
Good to have you two!
No photos but on Wednesday, 10/7/'15, Papi initiated the process for getting an address for Riversong at
911 Building in Buffalo, MO.
October 6, 2015
Placing the first trusses...but not all because the equipment was not large enough for the biggest trusses.
On Monday, October 12, 2015, Deryl had Berry Crane come to help lift the larger trusses to the roof.
Here is a video of the crane in operation
On 1o/15/15, Joe Bright and colleague, Ryan, came down the Riversong road and mapped the road with a computer app so that Riversong will be registered for emergency services. As a consequence, Riversong now has an official address!

Without a roof, the rains came in. The floors were covered with 2 inches of rain and leaves!
November 2, 2015
After sanding and cleaning, the beams were ready for priming. It was slow progress because the cool damp weather caused the beams to stay wet.

He installed many more I beams perpendicular to the original beams...now there is twice as much steel to prep and paint!

Remember back in December of 2014, when Papi, Michael and Michael's friend, Matt, began clearing trees for the building site??? Thanks to Jordan we now have logs laid in for the woodstove...and still more to ready. Thank you, Jordan!
Oops!!!!
Woodpile gone with the flood waters on December 27, 2015.
Deryl has offered us some of his extra synthetic rock facing which he used to front part of his house. We will use it to finish off the area around the future woodstove. Thank you, Deryl.
On February 9, 2016 Deryl texted these two photos of the siding and windows and doors being installed!
March 7, 2016
Papi received the keys to the cabin from Deryl Osborn, the builder...although not all the doors and locks were installed...any day now!!!!
